Anique Taylor studied art at Pratt Graduate School (MFA), Pratt
Institute (BFA Highest Honors), Cooper Union, Silvermine College of Art
(AFA) after studying literature at the Sorbonne (Diplome) and Antioch
College. She later continued studies at School of visual Arts, Parsons
School of Design, Cooper Union and the Art Student’s League. From
1995-2001 intrigued with the possibilities of the interplay between art
& computer, she studied computer art at Bergen CC.
She has shown extensively in the Metropolitan area (Solo&Featured
shows include The Bruce Museum, CT., Mari Gallery of Westchester, NY,
Gallery Siano, Philadelphia, Chamot Gallery, Jersey City, The Puffin
Foundation, NJ. Group shows include Noyes Museum of Art, NJ, Belskie
Museum, NJ Vorpal Gallery, SF, Henri II Gallery, Washington DC,
Condeso/Brokopp Studio, NYC, Parsons Gallery, CT.
A strong advocate for local art communities, she formed successful
artist groups as Chairperson of Neighborhood Groups, Salute to Women in
the Arts, Bergen County. She is an auxiliary founding member of Arts
Upstairs, Phoenicia Arts (an open gallery) and Co-organizer for
Shandaken Studio Artist Tour & Arts Festival.
